If you watch enough sports you’ll see some horrific injuries. I’ve seen David Busst’s leg explode, watched Erik Karlsson’s Achilles tendon severed by a skate blade and winced at dozens of ACL tears. “This was definitely not how this was supposed to go down.”
The greatest American racer of his generation is on the phone. Jimmie Johnson is driving home from the racetrack and he is 100 percent correct. This is not how this was supposed to go down. Not this week. Not this year. Hell, not even the past 19 years. None of it. And yet here he is...

Chase Elliott won his first NASCAR Cup Series championship by winning the final race of the season at Phoenix. The 24-year-old becomes the third youngest driver to win the title behind Jeff Gordon and Bill Rexford.
Elliott took the lead from Joey Logano with 42 laps to go rather handily and drove on to take the checkered flag in his first Championship 4 appearance. The No. 9 started the race from the rear after failing pre-race inspection twice but had no problem finding the speed to lead a race-high 153 laps.
This was the...

Harvick had a tire go down early in the race causing him to make a green flag pit stop and lose two laps putting him in catch-up mode on the half-mile Martinsville track.

“Everybody kept battling there and I tried to run into the door of the 18 as a last-ditch effort there and spun him out there so sorry to put him in ...Read More

The Preakness Stakes is normally the second Triple Crown race and held in May, but nothing is normal in 2020. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Preakness will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3 and will be the last of the three Triple Crown races.
With Belmont Stakes winner Tiz The Law skipping this year’s Preakness, Kentucky Derby winner Authentic will be the heavy favorite to claim victory at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
One of the favorites to challenge Authentic is Art Collector, coming in at 5-2 odds; Swiss Skydiver and Thousand Words both come in behind him at 6-1 odds, but for those looking for a big pay day might want to turn their attention to Mr. Big News (12-1), who shocked a lot of bettors by hitting the board in the Kentucky Derby despite 46-1 odds.
