In most sports, if players physically attack each other, it’s because there is some level of beef between them. But that’s not the case in hockey. Or… I guess… boxing. Or MMA, or karate, or bullfighting, or a number of other sports, fine, but my point is: Hockey has a lot of fights that aren’t beef-based. So when hockey players do have beef, it’s only going to get even uglier. And when two entire hockey teams have beef? Well, as was the case with St. Louis and Chicago, you get a game so violent it becomes known as The St. Patrick’s Day Massacre.
From 1988 to 1993, the Blues and Chicago couldn’t escape each other. They met in five out of six postseasons...
If you didn’t already know of the 6-1, 165-pound sophomore guard from Oral Roberts, you do now: He was a major factor not only in helping the 15-seed Golden Eagles to an incredible first-round upset of 2-seed Ohio State, but also a second-round upset of 7-seed Florida. Oral Roberts is now only the second ever 15 seed to make it to the Sweet 16, thanks in great part to Abmas’ play.
In the first game, he scored 29 points on 10-of-24 shooting (including 5 of 10 from 3-point land), grabbed five rebounds and dished three assists in the 75-72 overtime win. Against the Gators, he scored 26 points on 6-of-14 shooting and dished seven assists; he was also a perfect 12 of 12 from the free throw line.

Now that the new episode of Dorktown has dropped, Jon Bois and Alex Rubenstein to discuss Mark Sanchez, dynasties, and whether or not Jon is stupid.
Thanks to everyone who watched our latest episode of Dorktown! This one was a little different than any other Dorktown episode we’ve ever made: rather than simply telling a story, we made an argument that has proven to be a little controversial: that one disastrous drive in 2011 changed the course of a franchise and, in turn, NFL history.
Below, Alex and I chatted about some odds and ends surrounding the episode. Hope you enjoy. And hey, if you haven’t already, remember to subscribe to Secret Base on YouTube.
Jon: This video stars the Jets in the years before and after 2010, and I gotta say, I found this team really endearing at the ti...

A two-time Olympic gold medalist and 1999 World Cup winner, Scurry set the standard for American goalkeepers in the 1990s and 2000s. Her 175 caps are the second-most for any American goalkeeper.

The Russell Wilson trade rumors are gaining steam just as the Deshaun Watson trade rumors are starting to fade. Now teams looking for an elite veteran starting quarterback can turn their attention more to the Seahawks in trying to acquire the eight-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl winner.
Moving Wilson no longer is wild speculation. The Athletic has a blockbuster new report on the power struggle in Seattle and how a big rift has developed between the 32-year-old and Seahawks officials, to the point that Wilson’s representatives have brought up the real possibility of a trade.
The Dolphins and Jets, two AFC East teams also tied to Watson because they each hold two first-round picks in the 2021 NFL draft, were mentioned as potential destinations...
With just over a month until the 2021 NBA trade deadline, contenders are looking to tweak their rosters, and apparently some of them have the same target in mind.
The Bucks and Lakers are part of a group of teams interested in Rockets forward P.J. Tucker, according to multiple reports. The 35-year-old hasn’t produced eye-popping numbers during his time in Houston (6.6 points, 5.8 rebounds per game over the last four seasons), but he has consistently demonstrated his value as a switchable defender, spot-up shooter and leader in the locker room. Those skills make him a great fit for any franchise chasing a championship.

The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor recently reported on the situation in Milwaukee:
We are now a few weeks into the NFL offseason which means that I have begun to binge a lot of television shows (mandatory shout out to Suits which remains awesome).
I’ve also had a bit more time to read and, since I miss football, have been going back through some classics about the game that we all love.
Recently I decided to fire up Gary Myers’ Brady vs Manning, which was released in September of 2016. As you can imagine, it is all about the epic rivalry that existed for a long time between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
Matchups between the two GOATs feel like forever ago...
