The Chiefs’ star wide receiver had just caught his seventh pass against the Buccaneers, taking it 44 yards to the end zone. It gave him his second touchdown of Week 12 to go along with 203 receiving yards. And oh yeah, it was still the first quarter.
Hill finished with 13 catches for 269 yards and three touchdowns, winning countless fantasy football matchups in the process while ensuring that Patrick Mahomes would even his score with Tom Brady. The performance by Hill was such that, as it was happening, it was hard to truly fathom how great it was. It seemed like Tampa Bay would never have an answer for one of the NFL’s fastest players, and although Hill slowed down after his torrid first quarter, he still made plenty of history.
It seems like only yesterday LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers ended the Miami Heat’s Cinderella run in the NBA’s Disney bubble to win the championship. After a truncated offseason that included the draft and free agency, the league is now ready to go once again. NBA basketball will be here before Christmas, and we already know the first half of the schedule.
The league isn’t doing a bubble, and it’s playing only 72 games during the regular season. That means more head-to-head ‘series’ to reduce travel and squeeze as many games as possible into the shortened schedule. The threaten of the global pandemic continues to hang over society and has already had high-profile impacts on both the NFL and college basketball...

The grand slam is arguably the most thrilling and exciting thing that occurs in a baseball game. The prerequisite to one, of course, is that the bases be loaded. In the 21st century, that’s been the case approximately 2.47 percent of the time in Major Leagu Baseball. That is about once every 40.5 plate appearances. And yet, in 2013, Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Nori Aoki entered the batter’s box 674 times; the bases were loaded for him … zero times.
Poor Nori Aoki played a full-ass season with nary a single opportunity to break out the rye bread and mustard. This when the average big leaguer would’ve been expected to have about 16.6 such opportunities. Here’s how that stacks up since 1973 (the start of full base-occupied data splits at Baseball-Reference):

Given all the injuries and COVID issues leading up to this week, we knew there would be ample opportunities for sleepers to step up and land themselves among the top Week 13 fantasy waiver wire pickups and free agent adds. However, that didn’t really happen on Sunday, as handcuff RBs Jordan Wilkins, Brian Hill, and Matt Breida weren’t even the best backs on their teams, and very few under-the-radar pass-catchers and quarterbacks broke out. Cam Akers was one of the few sleepers to come through in a big way, and Josh Jacobs was one of the few big-name players to suffer a potential injury, opening the door for his handcuff, Devontae Booker.
Our full free agent list features plenty of potential fliers based on workload (Frank Gore, Sterling Shepard, Jordan Reed, etc), but with the poss...
